Chief Executive Officer

Professor Gregory Gilbertson has worked as private investigator specializing in criminal defense casework for more than 10 years. He holds a Master ‘s degree in Justice Administration from Columbus State University (GA), and a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Washington. Greg is a former police officer with the cities of Atlanta and LaGrange, Georgia. As a police officer, his duty assignments included:

  • Special Weapons and Tactics Team
  • Superior Court Investigator
  • Senior Patrolman
  • School Resource Officer
  • Stakeout Squad Officer

Greg left law enforcement when duty-related injuries and two major surgeries ended his career.  He then worked as a Senior Lecturer of Criminal Justice for a local faith-based university, as a Parenting Investigator for the Pierce County Superior Court, and as a school district security and violence intervention officer.

Greg began teaching criminal justice for a local community college in 1999. He was awarded tenure and promoted to Associate Professor of Criminal Justice in 2002.  Greg continues his career in adult education to this day.  In addition to his community college, Greg also teaches criminal justice courses for a California university with extension campuses throughout Washington State.

Greg has twice served in active war zones as an International Police Trainer. He recently served with NATO Forces in Kabul, Afghanistan.  While in Kabul, Greg was appointed Senior Mentor and NATO Liaison to the Commander of the Afghan National Police Academy.  In this position, he was responsible for a number of major curriculum revisions and academy renovation projects valued at 50 million dollars.

Greg also served as an International Police Trainer with Coalition Forces in Baghdad and Basra, Iraq.  In Baghdad, Greg designed and developed a Bachelor’s degree program for the Baghdad Police College.  He then served as a Deputy Director of the United Kingdom’s Basra Training College.  In Basra, Greg supervised British, Czech, and American instructors who trained over 500 Iraqi cadets in a police officer certification course.

Greg also served in the U.S. Army as a commissioned and non-commissioned officer of infantry soldiers.  He is a Distinguished Military Graduate of the U.S. Army Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Georgia.
